Many Celebrities love Goji Berry

Looks like Wolfberries or Goji berries as they are more popularly known are working their way up the popularity charts. The fruit, which is native to south Eastern Europe and Asia, is fast becoming a favorite amongst celebrities. The nutritionally rich fruit seems to have started a new health trend amongst the weight watchers.

Pronounced as ‘go-gee’ the fruit, according to studies also has medicinal benefits. It has found its way to numerous health stores and grocery markets across the west claiming its health and nutritional benefits. Celebrities like Madonna, Liz Hurley and Mischa Barton are said to be fans of the Goji berry. Usually Goji berries can be found available in their dried raisin-like form and are termed as the new health food wonder, which is causing a huge stir in the west especially amongst celebrities. With a flavor similar to savory cranberries, which is another popular fruit, Wolfberries seem to be on the ‘prowl’ for a larger market share of health products. Well known for its anti ageing properties, the fruit is fast becoming a favorite amongst celebrities wanting to preserve their youthful looks.

Goji berries have apparently been used in countries like China, Tibet, and India for many years owing to its health and medicinal benefits. Goji berries are said to protect the liver, improve eyesight, strengthen the muscles, enhance sexual ability, and most surprisingly, increase one’s lifespan. The Goji berry has gained immense popularity in recent years owing to its many health benefits and it is no wonder than celebrities seem to be stocking up on this wonder fruit.

With a new health trend for Goji berries having kick started in the west it is not much time before the rest of the world catches up to the benefits of this fruit also sometimes referred to as the ‘fruit Viagra’ or the ‘cellulite busting wonder fruit’.
